Steve and Heather (Florio) Abati. Matt was born in New Haven on July 26, 1997. He attended Notre Dame High School, and graduated from Lyman Hall High School. Despite his health issues Matt received his Bachelors in Exercise Sciences from Sacred Heart University on schedule. Matt was a personal trainer at ASD Fitness Center in Orange, working with clients with physical and developmental disabilities. This was a passion of Matt's. His dream was to open a facility where a healthy lifestyle could be achieved by all regardless of their physical, emotional, or developmental handicap. Matt was a man who would disregard his own physical pain to make sure he gave his all to his disabled client. Matt was a fanatic football fan as well as an incredible player. He loved The University of Notre Dame Football and went to a number of games, including the 2012 National Championship game vs Alabama. Matt was survived by his loving brother Ben and his adoring sister Hailey. Matt was predeceased by a sister Ali. Matt was also predeceased by his paternal grandparents Alfred and Rosemary Abati and survived by his maternal grandparents Robert and Elaine Florio and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Assemblyman John Weddleton had suggested cutting the entire $1.7 million horticultural budget to shift that money toward efforts to clear out illegal homeless camps and move people into emergency shelters, the Anchorage Daily News reported .
Weddleton changed course Tuesday, saying more than 400 emails had been sent since last week in support of downtown flowers and public greenhouses.
"People made really clear, you don't want to cut everything that makes people happy about Anchorage," Weddleton said. "And the flowers are awesome - I'm good with that."

Step into the Lyman Allyn Art Museum's Glassenberg Gallery, and you step into a world of lush color. In the vivid photographs that make up the exhibition "A Colorful Dream," artist Adrien Broom — who grew up in Lyme and Hadlyme — has created a visually striking story of a girl "rediscovering the simple joys of color."
Although there isn't text to detail the narrative, the story is clear in the images themselves, as the girl begins in an all-white bedroom and makes her way through whimsical landscapes of radiant shades.
In a scene bubbling with blue, it's almost as though the girl is sitting under the sea, gazing up at an octopus as a school of fish skitter nearby.
In an orange-suffused photo, it's as though the bevy of lamps populating an eerie outdoor landscape are casting an autumnal glow over everything, as the girl holds contemplatively onto a single light.
