Julia Ann Ellert - Obituary - Mahoning Valley - Mahoning Matters

Austintown, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Julia was born in Lakewood, Ohio on November 24, 1969 to Diven Gency and Mary (Gilbert) Gency. Julia was a 1988 graduate of Jackson Milton High School and received her cosmetology license from MCCTC, working as a hairdresser for 32 years. She worked most recently with her best friends at Salon Extravaganza. On March 17, 2000, she married her loving husband of 21 years, Clayton William Ellert, and together they raised two children in Austintown, Peyton Olivia Ellert, 22, and Diven William Ellert, 19. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, sister and friend. Julia leaves behind her husband, Clayton; daughter, Peyton; son, Diven; mother, Mary; sisters, Karen (Joe) Garcia and Connie Bellay; nieces, Megan (Bijan) Garcia Hosseininejad, Keri (Deanna) Williams, Cassie Bellay, Sarah Garcia and Katie Bellay; great-nephews, Aiden Dickey, Jaimee Williams, Gavin Hosseininejad and Jaxon Williams; a great-niece, Jocelyn Mary Bunting as well as the many other wonderful family members and friends she had in her life. Michael Jaques | Obituary | The Press Republican - Plattsburgh Press Republican

Michael was predeceased by his sisters, Ellen "Patsy" McDonough and Maureen Buysse, and half-brothers Lee and Gilbert Jaques. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Michael was a proud member of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, Local 773 out of Glens Falls, N.Y., for over 50 years. He was a past member of the Keene Valley Hose Company and Keene Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of the downtown Keene Turtle Club. Michael will be remembered for his humor and quick wit. He had a love of classic cars and was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed tooling around Palm Coast in his Jeep (one of 49 vehicles he owned in his lifetime), time on his lanai, and tracking travels in his atlas. He was known for his expressions, "HEY. Marlene; children, Christine Kaiser (Pete), Lisa Batts (Greg) and Valerie Fugere; siblings, Robert Fugere (Gloria), Mary Jane Vogel (Jim) and Gilbert Fugere (Barb); and six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kathy. The visitation will be Friday, January 3 starting at 5:00 PM with the Vigil at 6:00 PM at Greenwood and Myers Mortuary. Obituary: Leonard Mathew Saari, 81, Of Riverside - Greenwich, CT Patch

First Congregational Church Choir and also sang and performed in Connecticut Grand Opera, Westchester Hudson Opera, and several local Gilbert & Sullivan productions. For many years he was an enthusiastic member of the Off Sounders, a local acapella men's singing group. Len and his wife travelled and performed in Greenwich Choral Society concerts at Christ Church, Oxford; Winchester Cathedral; Westminster Abbey; the Cathedral at Chartres; the Madeleine, and Notre Dame.In Boca Grande he enjoyed singing with the Barbershop Chorus, Bocapella, the Boca Grande Chorale, and the St. Andrew's Church Choir, and he performed in many musical show productions, including Godspell, Mame, and Guys and Dolls, during eighteen years of warm winter months.The entire family has wonderful memories of skiing trips to Europe, Canada and throughout the United States when the children were younger. In later years Yanna and Len played golf at Greenwich Country Club and Lemon Bay Golf Club, with vacations at many world famous golf courses, among which are Pebble Beach, Sea Island, Pinehurst and St. Andrew's.Len is survived by his wife, Yanna, his daughter Allison Saari Byrne and her husband, Josh, his sister, Shirley Doak, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased in 2012 by his daughter Karina.A memorial service is planned for Saturday, November 16, at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church of Greenwich, 106 Sound Beach Avenue, Old Greenwich, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the First Congregational Church of Greenwich or to the charity of your choice.
