Jack Burton; his three sisters, Barbara (George) Farrell of South Daytona, Fla., Joyce (Joseph) Ulrich of Port Washington and Janet Forbes of Mequon; two brothers-in-law, Herman (Marilyn) Knight of Rewey, and Arnold (Teresa) Knight of Barneveld; and a sister-in-law Lois (Daryl) DeNure of Monroe. He is further survived by his puppy “Bud”; many nieces, nephews and many friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, William and Marie Burton; his wife Lynn; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arnold and Mary Alice Knight; and a brother-in-law Douglas Forbes. Funeral services for Gerald will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Ave., New Holstein. The Rev. James Werner will officiate. Jerry will be laid to rest next to his wife Lynn, at Middlebury Cemetery in rural Barneveld. Family and friends may call at Sippel Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 2 from noon until the time of service. In a fitting tribute to honor Jerry, visitors are encouraged to wear their favorite “Brewers” apparel. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in his name.
