Klahn, Laura Lorraine

Wilbur R. Klahn on March 29, 1952, and together they had two children. Laura was employed as a chemist at Badger Ordnance Ammunitions plant in Baraboo and University of Wisconsin Cancer Research Lab in Madison, co-owned ABC coffee business, was a saleswomen for AAA of Madison, and a realtor for both Badger Reality and Century 21 in Madison. She enjoyed many hobbies, including making crafts, decorating and design, landscaping and gardening, collecting antiques, and raising and selling raspberries. Laura loved birds, was an avid reader and loved to walk the beach. Laura is survived by her husband, Wilbur; son, Michael L. Klahn; daughter, Cresent A. L'Sai (aka Lisa M. Klahn); sisters, Virginia (Merlyn) Dahl, Beverly Liebenthal, and Nancy (Ole) Karbo; sister-in-law, Helen Cox; and many, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jean (Charles) Bangham and Mertice (Harold) Hunt; brother, Fred Cox; and brother-in-law, Loren Liebenthal. A memorial service will be held at ST. PAUL'S LIBERTY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3494 Oak Park Road, Deerfield, Wis., at 10 a.m., on Saturday, April 9, 2016, with the Rev. Holly Slater presiding. Immediately following, a Celebration of Life gathering and full lunch will be held at NORA'S TAVERN, 1843 Highway 12 & 18, Deerfield, where we can share memories and stories with each other about the wonderful woman we knew as Laura.
