Friends, and was a member of the Rockwall Historical Foundation and the Rockwall County Historical Commission. He was a long-standing member of the Republican Party, was elected as the Precinct 3D Chair, and served on the Rockwall Republican Party and Rockwall Men's Club Executive Committees. Mike was appointed to the Texas Historical Commission by Rick Perry in July 2012, and served until February 2015. He served as the chairman of the Men's Ministry of Chisholm Baptist Church and co-chaired the Dallas area Fundraiser for ALS. Survivors include his wife: Sharon; sons: Chris (Staci) and Matthew (Paetra); daughter: Amy (Matt); grandchildren: Justin, Karma, Lily, Coltrane, Jakob, Anne Chaddock and Mathias; niece: Kate; and nephews: Bo and Zach. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Tim and Larry; his father: Jim Donegan; mother: Betty Price; and stepdad: John Price. Funeral services were held 10:00am, Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Lakeshore Church, 5575 State Highway 205 South, Rockwall. A gathering of family and friends was held Wednesday evening at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Vietnam War. He was awarded several honors and decorations including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Two Bronze Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign, Expert Rifleman medal, Pistol Marksmanship Ribbon and the Purple Heart Award.
In 1969, Larry was honorably discharged for his service.
Upon his return home, Larry earned an associates degree and worked as a steel mill operator, retiring from Bull Moose Tube.
Larry enjoyed coaching sports, fishing, camping and golfing.]
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Rolinda (Ianucci) Rhodes; children Larry Jr. (Jennifer) Rhodes, Victoria Wilkinson, Rachel Rhodes (Michael Williams) and Roland Sr. (Stacey) Rhodes; seven grandchildren; a brother, William (Marge) Rhodes; and sisters Myrtle Marie Nalbach and Jennie (Norman) Foertch.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepmother MaryAnne Rhodes; brothers Harry Rhodes III and Robert Rhodes Sr.; and a sister, Ruth Ester McElwee.
Larry will be laid to rest with a private ceremony at All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta with full Military Honors

U.S. Army. Following Basic Training, PFC Colley was assigned to the 23rd Infantry Regiment, in the 2nd Infantry Division, with duty in the Republic of Korea. According to 2nd Infantry reports from January 1952, PFC Colley's unit was one of four regiments designated to defend the Missouri Line in the area known as the "Iron Triangle." A report goes on to list 1,605 "negro personnel" assigned to the division during this time, with Colley being one of 118 soldiers awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Heroic Achievement in a Combat Zone. On Jan. 2, 1952, Colley received the prestigious Purple Heart Medal, for wounds sustained due to artillery attack. Colley's awards also include the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Good Conduct Ribbon, and the Combat Infantry Badge. After his service in the Army, George began a career as a civil service employee until his retirement. George is preceded in death by both his loving wife Jeannette and loving parents, as well as the following siblings: Mary C. Nevels, Thomas Colley, Edythe C. Bynum, Arthur Colley, Ruth C. Byrd, Walter Colley, Samuel Colley, Jimmie C. Randel, and infant Adolph Colley.
