Friday in a 79-37 win over Utica Eisenhower, then 27 and 6 while helping Dakota beat Flint Beecher the next day. 2017 Clarkston (Mich.) point guard Foster Loyer can’t stop scoring. He dropped 20 points Thursday against Hazel Park and another 28 Friday at Western International. He led Clarkston to wins in both games as the Wolves remain undefeated on the year.

Ronald, Bruce and David; two granddaughters and two grandsons. He also has one sister, Millie and one brother Gerald. GARY MITCHELL Gary Mitchell of Clarkston will celebrate his 78th birthday today. He was born in Toppenish, Wash., to Carl and Evelyn Mitchell. He married Joyce Crow in 1964. She later passed away. In 1977, he and his family, children Greg and Greta, moved to Clarkston. He worked in Tire Shop in Toppenish for 20 years. He worked on farms in the valley area and then 21 years for Clarkston School District at Lincoln Middle School and Highland Elementary. He retired in 2003. In 1991, he married Ruth Vanderdoes. They enjoyed many years of bicycle touring in Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho and Montana and hiking trips with burros. Together they have four children, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He attends CrossPoint Church. KENNETH CHAPMAN Kenneth Chapman of Weippe will celebrate his 90th birthday Friday. He was born July 8, 1926, in Dagmar, Mont., to Clarence and Bernice Chapman. Kenneth was one of 11 children. The family moved to Weippe when he was a young boy. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1944-1946. He was stationed in the Philippines during most of his service. He married Emily Schlader on Christmas Eve in 1946 in Weippe. They were married 52 years when she died in 1999. The couple raised four children on their farm near Weippe. Kenneth raised cattle and farmed for many years. He was a millworker, logger and retired from the Idaho Department of Transportation after 26 years. He is a Veterans of Foreign Wars member, Hill Top Senior Citizens, he received his 50 Jewel from the Idaho Order of Odd Fellows in 1999. He was a member of the Weippe Rodeo Association- and the Cattleman's Association. Kenneth and Emily were Grand Marshall's in the Weippe Rodeo Parade. Kenneth has one daughter, seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Kenneth has lost his son and two daughters. MILDRED “MILLIE” E. JONES Millie was born Aug. 28, 1921, in Bynum, Mont., to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Michelbach. She attended High School in Choteau, Mont. After high school, Millie worked for Montana Power... N.Y., Mary Jayne Drayton, of Rochester, N.Y.; one great-grandson, Lennox Drayton, of Karlsruhe, Germany; one brother, Karl Drayton (wife, Nancy), of Clarkston, Mich.; two sisters, Karen Drayton Trueman (husband, Robert), of Inman, S.C., Suzanne Drayton Wade Mercer (husband, Robert), of Columbus; a daughter-in-law, Lori Drayton, of Rochester, N.Y.; and numerous other relatives.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Wanda Jean Drayton, of Rochester, N.Y., his son, Gregory Drayton, of Rochester, N.Y., his parents, Robert P. and Julia Belle Griffin Drayton, of Waycross, his brother, Keith Drayton, of Antioch, Tenn., and by his wife, Mary Lou, in 2012.The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Survivors include her children, Linda (husband Myron) Hopkins of Richmond, IN, Tim (wife Sharon) Sherrow of Clarkston, MI and Norm (wife Mary) Sherrow of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren Craig (wife Lisa) Hopkins of Greens Fork, IN, Dave (wife Tracy) Hopkins of Greenwood, IN, Tim (wife Suli) Sherrow, Jr. and Matt (wife Ginny) Sherrow all of Fenton, MI and Norm (wife Lois) Sherrow, Jr.; great grandchildren Josie Hopkins, Nick, Nathan and Alayna Hopkins, Josh and Kyle Sherrow, Lily and Riley Sherrow; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, who died April 6, 2010; brothers Leo Bruck, Jr., David Bruck, James Bruck and Ed Bruck; sisters Mayme Spurgeon and Louise Ingram. The family extends a very special thanks to the staff at Friends Fellowship Community for the compassionate care and assistance they have provided.
