A special exhibit, “Art from the Garden: A Celebration of Spring,” is by local artist RoseMarie Frye. The display will be available April 23 – May 31, with fresh arrangements of spring flowers during Garden Week. Frye’s dry brush watercolors provide a backdrop for a display of vintage wedding dresses handkerchiefs and delicate linens and lace worn by local brides from the early 1900s to the mid-1970s. The exhibit will also include delicate perfume bottles and boudoir accessories from the Bodien Collection that have not previously been on display and photographs, memory books and other floral heirlooms from Prince George attics. The Prince George Regional Heritage Center, located at 6404 Courthouse Road, is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 1 to 4 p.m. The exhibit is free.
