Marilyn Ruth Gardner Witt

Marilyn Ruth Gardner Witt passed away peacefully in Lindon, Utah, January 23, 2016 after being surrounded by her loved ones. She was born November 28, 1928, to Clark Archibald Gardner and Bernice Linnea Rosengreen in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended public schools in Utah and California and graduated from UCLA. Following graduation, Marilyn worked professionally as an apparel designer in Los Angeles. She was a gifted seamstress and freely shared her talents with others throughout her life sewing, altering, and mending clothes for friends, family, and countless missionaries. Marilyn married Robert “Bob” Charles Witt in the Salt Lake Temple on August 21, 1951. He is the love of her life and her eternal companion. They are the parents of twelve children. She is survived by their six sons and five daughters, Brian (Trudy) Witt, Pamela (John) Dunford, Merilee (Kenneth) Otto, Laurice (Kurt) Jones, Glen (Patty) Witt, Arlene (David) Wilson, Evan (Stephanie) Witt, Janine (Martin) Perry, Mark (Denise) Witt, Galen (Janet) Witt, and Christopher (...
