Charlotte Ann Perkins Murdock (April 16, 1939

January 3, 2016, after a valiant 16-year battle with pulmonary fibrosis and more recently a pulmonary embolism and pneumonia.She was born in Cedar City, UT, on April 16, 1939, the third of five children to Ralph C. and Fern Ruby Perkins.Charlotte attended Cedar City High School and later Weber State College, an example to her posterity of the importance of lifelong education and learning. On June 8, 1957, Charlotte married her high school sweetheart, S. Reed Murdock, in the LDS St. George Temple. She supported her husband through years of schooling, after which the family settled in Layton, UT from 1968 through 2011, where they raised their five children.She worked in the Davis County school system where she retired as a secretary. She served in various church callings from ward chorister to auxiliary presidencies beginning from the age of 16 until the day she passed, including supporting her husband through many years of his callings.Charlotte was loving and compassionate and regularly wrote to a wide circle of friends and families. Particular beneficiaries of her hand-written letters were her numerous missionary grandchildren of whom she was proud. She was loved by her family and friends who will all miss her sense ...
