Gloria Ann Stassi Wismer

She made so many wonderful friends while living at their ranch. Seven years after Wimpy’s death in August 1991 Gloria moved to League City to be close to her daughter and son-in-law. Gloria enjoyed spending time with her relatives, friends and neighbors. She volunteered at the Evelyn Meador Library in Seabrook for many years. Gloria was an excellent cook, but what she loved more than anything was making delicious treats for others. Mrs. Wismer was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Merle Lee" Wimpy” Wismer, her parents Sam and Hilda Von de Brooke Stassi, her brother Johnny Stassi, her sister Helen Stassi Dienst and husband Ben Dienst, her sister Shirley Stassi White and husband Charles White. Her-in-laws Wardie and Ruth Wismer and sister-in-law Dot Wismer Vidrine. Left to cherish Gloria's memory, who was affectionately known as G.G. in later years is survived by her daughter Ann Wismer and son-in-law Michael Landolt. Her sister Joyce Stassi Murray and her husband Jim Murray. Jim and Tonya Ferris, and their children Danielle and Jamespaul Ferris. Mrs. Wismer is also survived by her brother-in-law Marcus Vidrine and her nieces and nephews, Linda Vidrine Ugor, Marco Vidrine, Lu Ann White Shank, Mark White, Matthew White, Alison Dienst Cotton, Stacy Dienst, Michael Dienst and Steve Dienst and their children and grandchildren. Gloria was fortunate to live independently at her home after moving back from the ranch in D'Hanis, Texas. The family would like to thank her caregivers for the love and care she received from longtime friend and neighbor, Mary Brook, Luis and Judith Jimenez and Gwen Smith. If you were ever a part of Wismer Distributing then G.G. certainly considered you her family. A Mass to celebrate the life of Gloria Wismer will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11:00am.
