Viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, June 28, at the Chapel of Peoples Funeral Home of Shallotte Inc., 5190 Ocean Highway West, Shallotte, and at Ocean View Baptist Association Center on Saturday one hour prior and following the services. Teen Cited After Phony Flower Sale At Doylestown CVS: Police - Doylestown, PA Patch

Central Bucks Regional PD reported the following recent incidents: Feb. 21 Jaxson Clyde, 19, of Smyrna, Delaware, was cited after police were dispatched to a solicitation complaint at CVS parking lot on S. Main Street in Doylestown just before noon. Police say Clyde was selling fake flowers under the guise of a fundraiser for the high school. Feb. 17 A 25-year-old Doylestown man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after an officer saw him driving without tail lights and swerving at approximately 1:50 a.m. He presented with bloodshot, glassy eyes, slurred speech and the odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. Field tests were administered and a blood draw was taken at Doylestown Hospital. Feb. 17 A 19-year-old Willow Grove man was arrested on suspicion of DUI following a traffic stop at approximately 2:30 a.m. on E. Butler Avenue in New Britain. He was stopped for non-functioning rear lighting and presented with an odor of alcoholic beverage. Field sobriety tests were administered and blood draw was taken at Doylestown Hospital. Sandy "The Flower Man" recovers from stroke, community steps in to help

Worley said. "He makes me feel awesome, he makes everybody feel awesome. He has the brightest smile, and the best outlook on life."Peter Melloy with Clyde's on Main Street says Sandy has been missed by customers and employees."Sandy is the flower guy, he comes in almost every day at least once or twice a day and brings his flowers," Melloy said. "He's a legend in Chattanooga." Becky visited Sandy in the hospital, took his picture and posted an update on Facebook. "When I went in that hospital room he was all smiles and happy to see me and was very positive and said I'm gonna be back out there soon."The money raised will go to help pay Sandy's rent and medical expenses. Donations are being accepted here. The community came together in a similar way for Sandy while he battled cancer in 2015. (WTVC)

The building was formerly split up for businesses over the years, including Gerald's Candy and Nut Shoppe, Clyde Fitness, Crock Pot restaurant and Kennedy Street Florist. Ben Hines and Andy Hayes of Spartanburg-based Spencer/Hines Properties represented the estate of Gerald Tucker in the sale of the Kennedy Street building, listed for $199,000. “Our company is excited that we’re able to retain a retailer to stay in the downtown Spartanburg market,” Hines said. “We know that with A Arrangement’s reputation, they’re making a long-term commitment to the citizens of our community.” Andrew Babb of NAI Earle Furman is handling the sale of the now-vacant South Church Street building, which he said is under contract. ...
