He is also survived by his father-in-law Alvin Smarch; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce and Ray Felice; nieces and nephews, Ryan Felice, Jenna Felice (Jenna Mamola), Richard Kirby, Brett Pirrone, Catherine Pirrone, Claire Goolsby, Jennifer Case, Kenny Goolsby, Rebecca Case and one great-niece Jordan Felice-Mamola. In addition to his parents, Jim was also predeceased by his sister-in-law, Christi Pirrone. He was a loving and loyal husband, father to his three kids and loved his dogs Madison, Rosie and Gabby. He also had an amazing second family with the Big Red Staff, Coaches, Players and their Families. Jim Worked for Cornell University and loved being part of the Big Red family for over 32 years. Jim was the Associate Head Athletic Trainer, he worked closely with the lacrosse teams, football teams, girls swimming and covered many sports helping thousands of student-athletes throughout his career. He was the head trainer for Summit Lacrosse which was located across multiple locations although he spent many summers in Lake Placid, NY. He was the athletic trainer for the US Lacrosse National teams for the World Lacrosse Games in 1994 and 1998 and had served as an intern with the Detroit Lions. He also refereed basketball through IAABO. She was a graduate of Brien McMahon High School, Class of 1963.She was a lifelong devoted member of the Calvin Reformed Church in South Norwalk and served 21 years as their Sunday School Superintendent. Glorilynn coached the Norwalk Special Olympics for 25 years and enjoyed kayaking, astronomy and travel.Survivors include her son, Andrew Klein and his wife Dalila, her daughter Deborah Dirocco and her husband Arthur, her brother Mark Kurimai and his wife Nora, her sister Irene Lambert and her husband Glenn, grandchildren Michelle and Andrew Klein, Nikolas Petrov, Arthur, Victoria, George and Kayla Dirocco, and several nieces and nephews.Services will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 11 AM at the Calvin Reformed Church, 19 Lexington Ave., South Norwalk with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. Greeley, passed away on Monday, Dec. 23, 2019, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Greeley. She was born Sept. 17, 1944, in Gridley, Kan. to Calvin and Dorothy (Circle) Freeman. She was a graduate of North High School. On Dec. 26, 1961, she married Paul Lepeniotis in Denver. She and Paul owned and operated Roasty’s (formerly Longs Peak Cafe) in Greeley. Barb enjoyed working in her yard and cooking for her family. She loved spending time with her grandkids and her great-granddaughter. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Golden and Mary Whitman; brother, Larry Freeman; three grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. She is preceded by her husband, Paul Lepeniotis; and brother, Donald Snodgrass. A Memorial Open House will be held from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 2, 2019, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Ave., Evans, with a private family inurnment at Littleton Cemetery. I must say that we were just boys, and as the old saying goes, “boys will be boys,” whatever that is meant to imply.To the best of my memory, Alvin was there. Alvin was the one my father called, “Dootsie Bobo,” because, as daddy claimed, “That boy doesn’t have the good sense of a hollow stump!”Yes, Buster, Eddie, Roger, and Dootsie Bobo were there and seeing as I am telling the story I guess I was there too.We were playing “war” in old man Heron’s woods which was sort of neat because there was the rotting carcass of a slightly dead cow that had died of some mysterious malady several weeks earlier. The cow, which we had convinced ourselves had been killed by a German bomb, lent just the right touch of realism to our make-believe conflict. We ran around, shooting at each other with our make-believe rifles and machine guns. The woods fairly resonated with our “rat-a-tat-tat, kapow, bang-bang and declarations of, “Gotcha!” Which was usually answered by, “No you didn’t, you just winged me!”Dootsie Bobo always liked getting shot because that gave him an excuse to fall down and take a nap for the rest of our current war.
