Dienstel, Lawrence H.

NAMPA, IDAHO Lawrence Herbert Dienstel, 81, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Nampa. He was born Oct. 6, 1934, in Belle Fourche, SD, to Joseph H. and Isabella Donald Dienstel. At that time, the family resided in Ridge, MT. He was the first of three children that included his brother, Ralph (Patsy) Dienstel of Rapid City, SD, and a sister, Inez Dienstel Parrish (Winston) of Hughes Springs, TX. Larry attended school in Belle Fourche and graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1954. He also attended Black Hills Teachers College for two years. He married Joyce Bowker in 1957. From this union came four precious daughters, Cynde Dienstel, Shana Dienstel, Laurie (Kevin) Small, and Kristi (Rodney) Thieman. They moved to Pocatello, ID, when he was transferred with CAL-GAS. They later divorced. Larry went to work with Garrett Freight Lines in Pocatello and was transferred to Salt Lake City where, after being a bachelor for 12 years, he met his soul mate, Jeanne Bond Mitchell. They were married in 1983 and Larry finally gained a son in Jeff Mitchell (Brandi). He was transferred to Denver in 1986 and when... (Rapid City Journal)
