Obituary for James "Jim" Lowell Henderson, of Mabelvale, AR - Arkansas Online

Jim leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Wanda Sue Henderson, his daughter Sheila Head and husband Donny of Little Rock, his grandchildren Nicole Anderson and her husband Joseph of Little Rock, Brandon Head and his wife Jordin of Perryville, great-grandchildren Lilianna Gonzalez and Riggs Head, three sisters Betty Henderson, Vangalee Brown, and Rita Hardin and her husband Clifford, all of Searcy. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Virgil and Rick Henderson.Visitation will be held at Pinecrest Funeral Home in Alexander on Monday, April 5, 2021, from noon to 2 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park, with military honors being rendered by the Unites States Army. Rosewalk Village nursing home is the first of many facilities on Davis' list of giving. Anderson said he sees this movement having a great impact even after we make it through the pandemic. Terry was an active member of Phi Delta Kappa and enjoyed being in their company. He was retired from Central Mississippi Residential Center and was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Meridian. Mr. Rush is survived by his sister, Linda Martin (Lee); as well as numerous cousins, extended family members, and a host of friends. Mr. Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Elizabeth Rush. Pallbearers will be members of Phi Delta Kappa. DENVER — Painting has always been a sanctuary for Lauren Anderson. It's a colorful escape when life gets too dark. And now, she's sharing her gift to help others.Anderson was volunteering for UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital when she discovered many patients who were sent flowers couldn't keep them in their rooms."It just made me really sad to think if I were in the hospital and somebody I loved and who loved me sent me something like that and I couldn’t enjoy it, how upsetting that would be," she said.Then she thought of something — maybe there was a way for those patients to enjoy those creations. So she went to volunteer coordinator Jenny Ricklefs with an idea."She’s an artist and she thought that she could potentially paint those flower arrangements and give the painting to the patient because they couldn’t have the flowers," Ricklefs said. "Since that day, she's been painting beautiful watercolor bouquets." She said on Mother's Day, Anderson did one painting that went to a patient in a unit for individuals with COVID-19. "The pa...
