? Schuylkill Haven 89, Tamaqua 69 — Ian McGowan picked up individual firsts in the 200 freestyle and 100 breastroke and was a part of two first place relay teams to help lead Schuylkill Haven to a win.
Tamaqua was led by Jeff Letterhouse who won the 200 individual medley, was second in the 100 backstroke and was on the winning 400 freestyle relay team.
Tamaqua’s Thorn Devlin won the diving competition with a score of 214.40.

Krystal Steele, who grew up in Pottstown, bought the business from her grandfather, Donald Conner, once she relocated to the area after living in Tamaqua, Schuylkill County, during her 20s.Steele explained that Conner had been looking to retire since starting the business in 1985, but wanted to ensure the floral shop stayed in the family."Flowers make people feel good," Steele said about what makes anyone gravitate to blossoming blooms. "Nature is beautiful, and they're from nature."
All occasions
Sherry McMichael, store manager, has been with the business for 18 years and said anywhere from 12 to 24 arrangements are prepared daily.
Weddings, funerals, birthdays, anniversaries and school dances are some of that events that bring orders, McMichael said.Get well, sympathy and "I'm Sorry" themes are some other popular flower arrangements.Steele said pet sympathies are also a new trend."Pets are family members as much as people," Steele added.
Personal service
Steele said one misconception she's noticed in her industry with consumers is that they sometimes see flower arrangement pictures on websites and assume that's what's available at the moment. However, that isn't always the case.
With that in mind, Steele said she always recommends calling a florist directly about flower options.
