Medical School, Philadelphia, in 1959. He was a member of Phi Chi Medical Society, and AOA, the Medical Honor Society. His Internship was served at Abington Hospital in Abington, PA from 1959 to 1960. From 1960 to 1962, he served on active duty as a Captain in the United States Air Force, stationed at Dyess Air Force Base, 819 Medical Group SAC, Abilene, TX. Following his Air Force tour of duty, he completed his Dermatology Residency at the Skin and Cancer Hospital of Philadelphia, at Temple University Health Science Center. He received a M.S. in Dermatology and was certified by the American Board of Dermatology in 1967. Upon moving to Auburn in 1965, he started his dermatology practice at the Carr Building, 188 Genesee St., subsequently moving to 77 Nelson Street. He was joined in his practice in 1993, by his daughter, Pamela L. Foresman, M.D. He retired in 2002. He was a member of the American Medical Association, the New York State Medical Society, the Cayuga County Medical Society, and the American Academy of Dermatology. He was a Fellow of the New York State Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He was appointed to the Emeritus Staff of Auburn Memorial Hospital. He was a past president of the Cayuga County Medical Society, the Cayuga County Board of Health, and the Cayuga County Board of Mental Health. Born in Abington, Kiernan was the cherished, youngest son and 'Bug' of Brendan J. Timoney and Maribeth Schlupp Timoney.He was a junior at Council Rock South High School where he was a pole vaulter on the track team. Officials: Not sure if killer tree was on Abington town property

ABINGTON - Town officials still have not determined whether a large, rotted tree that fell onto a moving car in an accident earlier this month, killing two people inside, was on town property or owned privately. The April 3 accident killed Manuela Teixeira, 51, and Franklin Teixeira, 49, when the tree fell onto their BMW as they were traveling along Rockland Street in Abington. A funeral was held for the couple in Cambridge last week. Bouquets of flowers were left at a makeshift memorial at the accident site Friday. Town Manager Rick LaFond said Friday that the town has pulled records on the tree location but those town records could not determine whether the tree was on town property. A professional surveyor would have to make that determination in a move now being considered by the town's insurer, Trident Insurance, he said. Woman accused of stealing $58G from McCarthy Flowers parent company

SOUTH ABINGTON TWP. — A former employee of McCarthy Flowers’ parent firm is charged with stealing more than $58,000 from the company. Donna Louise Krance, 37, of 410 Shady Lane Road, was arrested Tuesday by South Abington Twp. police on theft by unlawful taking and other charges. Ms. Krance was employed as a bookkeeper in the business office of McCarthy Management Services Ltd., 545 Northern Blvd., according to the arrest affidavit prepared by Patrolman Paul Wolfe. The company manages several corporations across the country and blank business checkbooks are kept at the South Abington Twp. office. Ms. Krance is accused of embezzling $58,410.38 between April 2015 and last Wednesday by stealing 65 checks from two McCarthy subsidiaries, the Colorado-based florists Lehrer’s Flowers of Denver and Associated Wholesale Flowers of Denver, and writing them out to herself and depositing them into her checking and savings accounts. Joe Michalczyk, dressed as a gondolier, and Dolly, in Croatian jewelry, greeted guests as Doris Lindsley welcomed travelers to her South Abington Twp. home for an Adriatic trip photo party. Dolly’s original painting of Venice and the group’s Dubrovnik bas-relief sculpture, a gift to the Michalczyks, complemented Doris’ Italianate décor. Along with tasting delicacies Doris purchased abroad as appetizers, desserts, and beverage selections, the group dined on selections by Joe similar to Venetian food served on the trip, including chicken strips, baked penne, cheeses, sausage and homemade meatballs from Calabria Restaurant. While viewing scenes from Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro and Venice on Mark Michalczyk’s trip DVD, the travelers listened to soundtracks of folk music purchased on the trip. Agreeing that beautiful Dubrovnik met all their high expectations, they decided highlight of the trip was Slovenias’ capital, Ljubljana.
