The land owner reached out to the organization with a desire to see the farm utilized in a positive way upon retiring. CFT is leasing the property for the tax value and has first right of refusal to purchase it if and when the owner decides to sell, a move founder and executive director Zack Wyatt plans to execute. “The biggest thing that little parcel can do is give a visual example for the Charlotte public of what it means to be sustainable,” he says. Williamson County Meals on Wheels recipients surprised with flowers for “Make Someone Smile Week”

The Mid-Cumberland Meals on Wheels services 13 counties in the region, including Williamson, with meals sites in Franklin, Fairview and Triune. McDaniel said 100 floral arrangements would also be delivered to Rutherford County. An additional 100 would go to Davidson County seniors who have been victims of elder abuse. Teleflora, she said, provides the mugs, while Rebel Hill provided the flowers. Rebel Hill Florist, located in Nashville, merged with Franklin Flower & Gift Gallery in December of 2017, and is run by Anna Page.
