Longtime Employees Buy Apple Creek Flowers Shop

That’s because Wendy Legare and Lynn Nattress, longtime employees at Apple Creek, purchased the business from Elizabeth Crisp April 29. Crisp has owned the store at 207 N. Throop for nearly 10 years. The store itself has been part of the Woodstock business scene for more than 30 years, they said. Legare, a third-generation florist, has worked for Apple Creek Flowers for the past eight years and has been the head wedding floral designer for the last four years, Nattress has been on staff for four years, and her speciality is customer service. Both Woodstock women have known for some time Crisp was looking to sell the business and they felt by forming a partnerships, they could buy the shop and run it themselves. “It’s been kind of a natural progression,” Legare said. “We’ve been talking to Elizabeth for quite a while about buying the business.” In addition to their year...
