North Shore Floral Designers Bring Spring to You - nshoremag.com
Reminiscent of the flower-filled shops of Paris, Les Fleurs in Andover will transform your Easter dinner table into a breath of fresh air. Owner Sandra Sigman is doing arrangements for curbside pick up these days as well as local “no contact” delivery. Pulling vessels from her shop, such as clay pots, wicker baskets, and silver urns, she is filling them with the best she is able to source as shipments from Holland and other global floral markets have been scarce.
She is sourcing beautiful tulips from California and creating vibrant arrangements with roses and blossoming branches for the Easter table. The flowers she is unable to use during the day, go to making arrangements for local senior centers in and around Andover such as Atria Marland Place, an assisted living community in Andover. Check out Sigman’s instagram for tips on how to decorate your Easter table.

The Art and Soul of Flowers - Patch.com
On Tuesday, October 1, at South Church (41 Central Street, Andover) the Andover Garden Club will kick off its new year with a demonstration by floral-designer Andrea Little. The event will begin at 10:00 AM with social time and refreshments, followed by a brief business meeting and the floral-arranging demonstration. When the natural beauty of flowers, foliage and other elements of design are combined, art takes on a new image and excites the mind and soul, creating an emotional warmth of the senses and stimulating creativity in mind and heart. "Art" and "soul" will be the driving forces behind the arrangements presented by floral designer Andrea Little. Little is an award-winning floral designer, master judge, and presenter of design workshops and programs. THINK SPRING: Annual Boston Flower Show promises a welcome respite
With its patio table and fruit tree fencing, this is a totally inviting “foodscaping” landscape by Samantha’s Gardens of Andover. At the floral design competitions, Roni Lahage, and her son, Nick, of Marshfield won First Place for their floral arrangement on the theme of incorporating tools of the trade – in this case a conical tomato cage enclosing sunflowers, ivy, flag iris and parrot tulip set in moss collected from their yard bordering the North River. And Julia Lizza, of the Community Garden Club of Duxbury, won First Place for her sculptural-like arrangement of kiwi vine to illustrate the superhero concept of crawling up walls.Undoubtedly a superhero, the New England Patriots are honored with floral arrangements of a player and a football, designed by Village Arts & Flowers of Walpole. At exhibits by the Massachusetts Master Gardner Association and the New England Carnivorous Plant Society, visitors can see superhero plants that need little water, eat insects, and show other powers of survival. The show also includes 200 vendors selling plants, garden tools, furnishings, botanical décor, and gifts. Daily demonstrations and lectures include clude planting for drought, new trends in landscape design, growing herbs, cultivating roses, and growing legal cannabis indoors.“It’s the gateway drug to gardening,” Weston said, joking. “Strangely enough, cannabis is bringing a lot of people into gardening.” Jody Feinberg may be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or follow on Twitter @JodyF_Ledger.
