Part Cafe, Part Florist: Rosecrans Is The Dreamy New Spot We Always Knew We Wanted - Guestofaguest.com

I want to hang around a bit, you know? Enjoy the atmosphere. The owners of Rosecrans, a new Greenwich Village locale, apparently agree with me. Part cafe and wine bar, part actual flower shop, this cozy, colorful spot is the hybrid I always knew needed to exist. Boasting an eclectic array of comfy couches, antique furniture, and, of course, plenty of plants and flowers (some sprouting out of mismatched ceramic pitchers, some on shelves lining a nook near the window), it has quickly gained some fans in the neighborhood - and, needless to say, on Instagram. The team behind Rosecrans are no strangers to mixing concepts; their other venture, Ad Hoc Collective, is a cafe-slash-home goods shop, where all the decor is for sale. (Hey, if you have a good business model, stick to it.) Now whether you're looking for a garden-like escape from the dreary winter chill, a dreamy snap for your Insta feed, or a good cup of coffee and/or a bouquet of fresh flowers, you know just where to find it. Rosecrans, 7 Greenwich Ave.

Winston Flowers Acquires L'Olivier Floral Atelier - PerishableNews

New York City. The acquisition of L’Olivier marks a new chapter for Winston Flowers following its expansion from Boston to Greenwich, Connecticut in 2012, and most recently, New York City. The 2018 opening of a 12,000-square-foot NYC design studio represented a major evolution for the company—three generations in the making—from the company’s founding as a floral pushcart in 1944 by Robert Winston and his son, Maynard. Today the company is led by brothers David and Ted Winston, who have stewarded the company through this strategic evolution while continuing to honor its New England roots. “This is an exciting time for Winston Flowers,” said Ted Winston. “Since expanding into New York City last year, it’s been invigorating to watch our business grow and evolve in new ways. We are delighted to share the stunning work of Olivier Guigni and his talented team with a new roster of clients. It’s a thrill to begin servicing marquee spaces such as Daniel Boulud restaurants, The Plaza Hotel, and The Carlyle Hotel, as well as many high-profile residential clients.” David Winston said, “L’Olivier and Winston Flowers share an abiding passion for innovative design, unrivaled service, and a deep commitment to our clients. I’ve always respected and admired Olivier’s design work and look forward to our two teams providing beautiful, inspiring floral services together.” L’Olivier founder Olivier Guigni, known for his...
