He found some old Christmas cards on the top shelf of mother's closet. One was dated 1953, and some were signed and some pre-printed. Here are some of the names that you may remember: Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Clubb, Victoria McChesney & Mother, Lloyd G. "Jerry" Briggs, Peggy, Heeb Family, Arthur and Emma, Floya and Ed, Dr. and Mrs. A.E. Riehl, Teri-Lee and Van, John and Dorothy Wirth, Louis & Marietta Gilmer & children, Mr. & Mrs. J.L. Hood, Ella and Frank Booher, Art, Dolores, Jill and Shelley Ann Rayburn, Leo & Rose, Dottie and Mel Hunsaker, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. A. Harvill, Mr. and Mrs. George M. Highfill, Carrie-Mack Martin, Effie, Tom & Pauline, Jae, Stroup. The signing of just the last name of Stroup made me smile, thinking it might be Jerry Stroup's grandmother, a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Chaffee.Reminders Remember to tell that special person in your life that you love them -- those three words mean so very much.Email your news to me at darbuck2@airmail.net or leave a message at (573) 887-6430 or (214) 207-7839.And then ...Then there was the theft in Italy of $100,000 worth of Parmesan cheese and $60,000 worth of wine. Space Coast community reflects on fallen astronauts

Grissom, Ed White, and Roger Chaffee through the presentation of an annual student Scholarship. Following the ceremony, members of the public were invited to visit the plaques and to leave their own messages or private mementos; in short order, Christa McAuliffe’s memorial was piled high with letters, notes, and drawings from school children, with an honorary apple also being left for the first member of the Teachers in Space program. On Feb. 1, thirteen years will have passed since the loss of Columbia and the crew of STS-107. During this period every year, officials, elected representatives, and private citizens pause to reflect on the loss of the three crews. It has been 49 years since a fire at Launch Complex 34 cost the crew of Apollo 1 their lives and thirty years since the loss of Space Shuttle Challenger. img class="wp-image-51046 size-full" src="http://www.spaceflightinsider.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Apollo-1-STS-51-L-STS-107-NASA-image-posted-on-SpaceFlight-Insider.png" alt="Apollo 1 STS 51 L STS 107 NASA image posted on SpaceFlight Insider" width="960" height="256" srcset="http://www.spaceflightinsider.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Apollo-1-STS-51-L-STS-107-NASA-image-posted-on-SpaceFlight-Insider-300x80.png 300w, http://www.spaceflightinsider.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Apollo-1-STS-51-L-STS-107-NASA-image-posted-on-SpaceFlight-Insider-768x205.png 768w, http://www.spaceflightinsider.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Apollo-1-STS-51-L-STS-107-NASA-image-posted-on-SpaceFlight-Insider-65...
