Donald P. Bain

Rev. Alan F. and Alice L. (Phillips) Bain. Donald was a veteran who served in United States Army Air Corps. Donald attended and graduated from Ballston Spa High School, and participated in the high school band and choir. Afterwards he attended Syracuse University. Donald received his Masters Degree at New York State College for Teachers SUNY and was an electrical engineer for IBM. He was an avid pianist, photographer, astronomer and loved the Adirondack region. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Alan Duane Bain, his sister, Barbara McFarlane and his brother-in-law, Blair McFarlane. Surviving Donald is his wife, Carolyn Bain of Queensbury; his daughter, Donna Zoller of Clifton Park; his daughter, Janet (Martin) Jenkins of England; his daughter, Sarah (Donald) Nash of Fredonia, New York; his nephew, Blair McFarlane of Florida and his nephew, Bruce McFarlane of Virginia, and his five grandchildren. There are no calling hours scheduled. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Donald to the American Lung Association, Donation Processing Center, 1595 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, N.Y. 14620. Paul Eric Steinborn

He spent many years in the automotive industry, including 17 years as an auto technician at Rick’s All Tech Automotive in Ballston Spa. Paul was a card-carrying member of iATN, International Automotive Technicians Network. Some of his greatest achievements included ASE master engine technician and ASE-certified auto technician. Whatever task he had to do he excelled at. All his work was done to perfection and he was proud of it. In addition to his father, Paul was predeceased by his brothers, Peter Steinborn Jr. and Joseph Steinborn; his sister, Catherine Steinborn; and good friend, Rick Mayer. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynette Steinborn; his beloved mother, Theresa Steinborn; his loving family; sons, Eric Steinborn of Rotterdam, Sean Steinborn of Schenectady, Staff Sargent Brian Ellis of Fort Benning, Georgia, and Jeremy Ellis of South Glens Falls; daughters, Kristina Steinborn of Scotia, and Cassandra Thompson of Troy; grandchildren, Rylynn, Olivia, Leonardo, Brayden and Kyleigh; brother, Andrew Steinborn of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters, Patty Sniffin of Lexington, North Carolina, and Maryanne Turner of Scotia; in-laws, Tom and Ginny Senecal of Moreau, Debra Senecal of Glens Falls, Sue Norton of Saratoga and Tom Senecal Jr. of South Glens Falls; and good friends, Michael Spiak and Michael Polsinelli. A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Regan & Denny Funeral Home, 94 Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls.
