Tommy Jones

He was born July 4, 1929, in Charleston to the late Curtis and Clara (Neff) Jones. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Gann, Hattie Placentia and Betty Gulley. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Kibler First Baptist Church with interment at Gill Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Alma. The family will visit with friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Ocker Funeral Home in Alma, 917 U.S. 64 East, Alma. Survivors include his wife, Beth Smith Jones of the home; one son, Bruce Jones and wife Sue of Van Buren; one daughter, Sherry Zink of Washington; three sisters, Jean Hughs of Fort Smith, Glenda Collins of Fort Smith and Pat Carter of Mounds, Okla.; one grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tony Ritchie, Rick Parks, Steve Graham, Grayson Moore, Jim Gooch and Mike Malone. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Treece, Robert Wagner, Otis Arnold and James Young, J.T. Mashburn, Bill Linder and Mark Burton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peachtree Hospice, 2910 Jenny Lind No. 4, Fort Smith, AR 72901; or Kibler Baptist Church Building Fund, 141 E.
