Anderson, and Deneena Fogle (Dennis) of Cordova; two sons, Scott Judson Mills (Carolyn) of Fresno, California, and Christopher Hugh Mills (Tracy) of Branchville; a stepdaughter, Lisa Wheeler of Myrtle Beach; two stepsons, James Lamar Pruitt of Des Moines, Iowa, and Pee Wee Pruitt (Lynn) of Whitmire; two sisters, Bonnie Kay Kagarice and Barbara Pancoast, both of Missouri; three brothers, Guy Thorsen of Alameda, California, and Billy Thorsen and Bruce Thorsen, both of Missouri; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and her loving caregiver, Lynn Bircheat. She was predeceased by her husband, James Clyde Pruitt. In lieu of flowers, the family requests those wishing make memorial contributions to Regency Hospice, 1890 St. Matthews Road, Orangeburg, SC 29118. Harold W. Mikel -- Summerville

Ritter Mikel. He was retired from the United States Navy after serving 22 years of submarine service. He was a former police chief for the town of Branchville, and worked for the city of Charleston as a motorcycle police officer for 15 years and state constable for MUSC for seven years. He loved to hunt and fish and was the widower of the late Mary Alice Mikel. A graveside service will be conducted at noon Saturday, Feb. 6, at Mount Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery in Bowman, with the Rev. Cory Leggett officiating. He is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Ann Mikel of Ridgeville, Michelle Mikel Alexander of Ladson and Melinda Sue Cates (Cris) of Hanahan; six grandchildren, Daniel L. Mikel, Chelsea Davis Mikel, Chelsea L. Trotter, Aaron R. Cates, Justin W. Alexander and Mary N. Cates; and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville. Nick Albertson, 85, died after celebrating Christmas with family

Morgan, Thomas C. and his wife Kathleen of Redding, CT, and their three children, Grant, Amanda, and Nick, and James D. and his wife Manya of Branchville, NJ, and their three children, Manya, Bennett, and Regan, Manya and her husband Jon Timmons have two girls, Nick’s two great-grandchildren, Bronwyn and Rowan. A service of Christian burial will be held Sat., Jan. 2, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Emmanuel Parish, 285 Lyons Plain Rd., Weston, CT 06883, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. A burial service will take place later that day for family members only at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
