Michael Jaques | Obituary | The Press Republican - Plattsburgh Press Republican

Michael Jaques, 80, of Palm Coast, Fla., passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Aug. 28th, 2020. Born Sept. 21st, 1939, in Keene Valley, N.Y., Michael was the son of George and Ellen "Nanny" Jaques. He is survived by his wife Piilani J. Jaques; daughter Lisa and husband Spencer Nye of Keene Valley, N.Y.; son Brad and wife Robin Jaques of Palm Coast, Fla.; grandchildren Tyler; Emma and wife Jess; Olivia and partner Scott; and great-granddaughter Ava Mae. His family was his pride and joy, and he was theirs. Michael was predeceased by his sisters, Ellen "Patsy" McDonough and Maureen Buysse, and half-brothers Lee and Gilbert Jaques. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Michael was a proud member of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, Local 773 out of Glens Falls, N.Y., for over 50 years. He was a past member of the Keene Valley Hose Company and Keene Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of the downtown Keene Turtle Club. Michael will be remembered for his humor and quick wit. He had a love of classic cars and was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed tooling around Palm Coast in his Jeep (one of 49 vehicles he owned in his lifetime), time on his lanai, and tracking travels in his atlas. He was known for his expressions, "HEY. Colorado on June 10, 2020. He was born in Brattleboro, VT, on February 27, 1990, to Jamie and Jackie Hartwell. He graduated from Keene High School and attended River Valley Community College and CSU studying Criminal Justice. He was currently employed at Altitude Organic in Dillon, CO where he loved his work and developed great friendships with his co-workers. Eric took a trip to Colorado in 2011, fell in love with the area and packed his car arriving in Breckenridge on December 31, 2011 knowing no one. He loved Colorado and the year-round recreation it offered including snowboarding, ice fishing, hiking, biking, dirt biking and fishing. Carol Rose Crow July 13, 1940-June 6, 2017

Carol Rose Crow went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2017. Carol was born in Wausau, Wisconsin, to Gustav Keene and Nellie (Hornung) Keene on July 13, 1940, joining her brother Tom and sister Arliss. She moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the age of nine months and lived there until her dad got a job in the Los Angeles area and moved the family to Temple City, California in 1952. She always attended the Catholic school system and graduated from San Gabriel Mission High School in 1958. She married Michael Crow, her spouse of almost 57 years, in Temple City, in 1960. When married they lived in West Covina, California, and retired there in 1995, to settle in Brookings. They had six children together — Catherine, Celeste, Mary, identical twins Thomas and Jonathon, and then David their lovely surprise. Carol is preceded in death by her husband Michael, who passed on March 15 of this year, and Jonathan who went ahead of her at the age of 8 to meet her in the Kingdom. Carol was a homemaker.
