Arnold Blake Green, 77, sold fresh veggies and homemade goodies every Saturday

U.S. Postal Service after 30 years. After retirement, he and Marie could be seen every Saturday at the Farmer’s Market in Roanoke Rapids selling fresh veggies and homemade goodies. He enjoyed playing golf and watching North Carolina State Wolfpack games and old westerns. He loved to listen to Elvis Presley and has requested some of Elvis’ gospel music be played at his memorial service. His family is so proud of him for the bravery and courage he showed in his battle against cancer. The family would like to thank his many doctors and nurses who were so dedicated to his care and were so compassionate to him. He was a good man, much loved by his family and friends, and he will be missed by all of us. May he rest in peace. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Marie Jarratt Green; sister, Barbara Green Keeter; and nephew, Michael Guy Keeter Sr. He is survived by his sons, Steven Lassiter Green, and his spouse, Charles Hockaday, of Roanoke Rapids and Jeffrey Blake Green, and his wife, Carol Anne; grandchildren, Aaron Blake Green, Benjamin Sterling Green and Natalie Michele Green, all of Wilmington; sister, Bonnie Green Morrisette of Greensboro; a...
