Elizabethtown police continue search for answers in homicide

Police are continuing to investigate after a young college student was found shot to death inside his Elizabethtown apartment last week. As his family prepares for a funeral, police are asking for the public’s help in bringing the killer or killers to justice. Police said they are looking for a young woman who could have information that could help solve this case. The name of Windell Jones, 22, is still on the schedule at the restaurant, where he worked for two years. It’s also on a sign outside the restaurant on East Dixie Avenue, in Elizabethtown. Jones was killed, shot in the chest inside his Westport Road townhouse in the early morning hours of Jan. 27. Edible Arrangements coming to BG

Home Depot. Edible Arrangements is the creator of fresh-fruit bouquets and gourmet chocolate dipped fruit. The firm has a store in Elizabethtown. It also has a store at 1022 A Glenbrook Way, Hendersonville, Tenn., according to the website’s Find a Store feature. “We believe in invention, investment and imagination, and have an entrepreneurial history and spirit. Above all, we are fresh fruit fanatics,” according to the firm’s website. The business began when, at the age of 16, Tariq Farid bought his first business – a flower shop called Farid’s Flowers – while still in high school. Later, he opened the first Edible Arrangements in East Haven, Conn., in 1999, according to the website. “You’ll find only the freshest fruit gifts here at our Edible Arrangements store. Our fruit arrangements and gifts are always made fresh daily, using fruit that’s grown and picked to our fruit expert standards. And, we have the best variety of gourmet chocolate dipped fruit, too! Try our legendary chocolate dipped strawberries, apples, pineapple, bananas, oranges and pears. When we open, stop by and see what we’re sampling that day to find out why it’s the best dipped fruit, period,” noted a message announcing the coming Bowling Green store noted on the website. Meanwhile, a 547,150-square-foot building permit valued at $80 million was applied for by IBI Group for 600 Corvette Drive in connection with the General Motors Bowling Green Assembly Plant new paint shop. The total cost of the project is $439 million. The project was recently recommended for approval by the City-County Planning Commission of Warren County. Also, another spec building is on its way in Warren County. Scott, M... (Bowling Green Daily News)
