The music star admitted it was “super scary” undergoing surgery following the incident earlier this month, and the star insisted she “didn’t deserve to get shot”.She said: “I was shot in both of my feet and I had to get surgery to get the s*** taken out, to get the bullets taken out.“I had to get surgery. It was super scary.”Megan also insisted the incident is “nothing to joke about”, after media personality Draya Michele, 35, apologised to her last week for making light of the situation.Speaking on an emotional Instagram Live, she added: “I see a lot of people painting fake a** narratives and making up stories, but I also see a lot of people being very supportive and sending prayers and I just really appreciate that.“It was just the worst experience of my life, and it’s not funny. It’s nothing to joke about and it’s nothing for y’all to go and be making fake stories about. I didn’t put my hands on nobody. I didn’t deserve to get shot.“Thank God that the bullets didn’t touch bones. They didn’t break tendons.“A b**** is alive and well and strong as f***.“I’m ready to get back to regular programming with my own hot girl s***.”50 Cent also said sorry to Megan after he shared a meme that made light of the incident. 10 romantic houseplants that say 'I Love You' - The Daily Courier

Heart Fern - Hemionitis arifolia is for the Valentine that enjoys fishbowls and terrariums. Present this fancy fern in an apothecary jar and, presto, you are the flavor of the month! "Fern-atics" prize this dwarf plant for its glossy heart-shaped leaves supported by thin black stems. Although it doesn't quite match the delta maidenhair fern (Adiantum raddianum) in the diva stakes, it is hard to maintain the kind of humidity this plant needs outside a terrarium setting, but it does grow well in a steamy bathroom. 5 - Heartleaf Philodendron has big and bold heart-shaped leaves. Large specimen are available growing up a mossy pole. This fast-growing plant needs misting regularly, so you might include a mister to your gift presentation. 6 - Hoya Hearts - Hoya kerrii, known as the sweetheart plant or Valentine Hoya, is a classic plant choice that is small but perfectly formed. It is as durable a plant as they come, don't drown it in water. Very few Hoyas grow beyond their original single leaf form, so they are perfect for terrariums and tiny windowsills. As gifts from those hoping their plant swill grow along with their relationships? NOT... 7 - Moth Orchids - Phalaenopsis can bloom up to six months at a time, making them far better value than a bouquet of soon-dead roses. They are undemanding, just water occasionally and place out of direct sunlight. Soft water or rainwater helps but isn't essential. 8 - Pitcher Plants - Nepenthes, carnivorous plants, are unusual gifts for those Valentines that book front row seats at the cinema to watch the latest horror flick. Bloody Mary is a compact pitcher plant with cute scarlet pitchers. Give it rainwater and sunlight, and it watch it catch a few flies along the way. 9 - String of Hearts - Ceropegia linearis was among the top of desired houseplants for 2018, and enthusiasm for this strange trailing plant continues to thrive. That can make it a bit tricky to find, but if you can lay hands on a specimen, it's a thoughtful choice that will set any houseplant enthusiast's heart racing. Despite the delicate appearance of its silver-engraved heart-shaped leaves held up by wire-thin stems, this is a tough plant that thrives in many spots of every home. 10 - Variegated Monstera - If Instagram is any indication, this is a must-have houseplant. If your Valentine is crazy for plants, your ability to source one of these as a Valentine's Day gift will surely seal your reputation as a partner who will go the extra mile. Until next week, I'll be helping cus...

All Saints' Day customs in New Orleans are still a must, despite changes in the city

It is part of the circle of life. You come, you live and you go."Dawson-Walker knows visiting cemeteries can feel strange or scary, and she wonders if that is part of why some of the New Orleans Catholic traditions are fading."It's not an easy thing to visit a cemetery, because death is all around and you're just surrounded. But I believe it's a place of reverence. It's a place for resting your loved one's body, if that's what you choose to do. We all have different beliefs as to how we want to do things."Treating death as a transition and not an end is how Dawson-Walker and her family members choose to revere their deceased loved ones. "My oldest brother, when my uncle died a number of years ago in California, he had him buried next to a tree," Dawson-Walker says. "He told me just a couple of years ago, ‘I had lunch with Uncle Aubrey today.' I said, ‘How is he doing?' He said, ‘Oh, he's quite well, I went out and I had my chair and I had my lunch. The tree is beautiful and I read awhile.'""And so that's how we think of it, and that's how we hold onto them. It's a cultural thing too, how you were raised and how you feel about your people and how you want to hold them dear," Dawson-Walker says. "I love the acknowledgment of All Souls' Day, the altars, the special prayers, the candles and lifting up those who have gone on." ...
