Planters Bank promotes 10 at North Mississippi banks

He is married to Regina Gammill, and they have one daughter, Callie Claire. Monty Wiggins has been promoted to First Vice President for the Tunica office. Wiggins has worked in banking for 14 years. He is a graduate from the University of Arkansas where he received his B.S. in Business Administration. Wiggins is a member of the Tunica Rotary Club, Board Member for the Tunica Chamber of Commerce and is a basketball coach at Tunica Academy. He is married to Deanna Wiggins, and they have three children, Raygen, Jayden and Kaysen. They are members of Life Point Church in Tunica Swayze Hicks has been promoted to Loan Officer for Greenwood office. Hicks is a graduate of Mississippi State University and is attending the Southeastern School of Consumer Credit this spring. She has been with Planters for three years. Hicks is a Boys & Girls Club of Greenwood Advisory Board member and a Chamber Committee Chair for the Viking Half Marathon and 300 Oaks Road Race. She is married to Matthew Hicks, and they have a daughter, Lucy. She is a member of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity. Joe Lauderdale dead at 97

He also served as Hernando City Engineer and in that capacity for the City of Olive Branch, Coldwater and Tunica County Engineer. Lauderdale also served on the committee which started Wesley Meadows Retirement Facility in Hernando and the Hernando Civic Center. Among his accomplishments, Lauderdale provided the engineering for the first wastewater treatment systems for Hernando, Olive Branch and Coldwater. During his engineering career, Lauderdale was president of the National Association of County Engineers, the Ole Miss Engineering Alumni Association, the Ole Miss Woods Order, the Hernando Rotary Club, and the Hernando Methodist Church Council. Among his many honors, Lauderdale received the Ole Miss Engineering School Engineers of Distinction Award in 1994. A World War II airman who served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, he received a commission from Yale Officer's Cadet School. His tour during World War II included service in Africa, Italy and France and in England in preparation for the D-Day invasion. Descended from one of the oldest families of Hernando, Lauderdale was born on Sept. 28, 1918 to William Abner and Margaret Lauderdale. He graduated from Hernando High School in 1936 and from the University of Mississippi in 1940, with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. After graduation, he was employed by E.I. Dupont Co. in Decatur, Ala. Lauderdale was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, the late Hautense Lauderdale. The free and open-to-the-public events are offered each month for children 7 years old and under from 11 a.m. – noon in the Cultural and Educational Resource Center (CERC) Library located on the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana reservation (150 Melacon Road, Marksville, Louisiana 71351).
