Michigan Floral Association Announces 2016 Board Of Directors/Officers

Chicago, IL. Association members elected the following to serve three-year terms on the board. Director at Large: Bob Patterson, Patterson’s Flowers, Big Rapids/Reed City/Cadillac, Michigan. Director Region 2: Andrew Maglio, Events To Rent, East Lansing, Michigan. Director Region 4: Alice Waterous, AIFD, CF, CFD PFCI, Waterous Floral Consulting, Grand Haven, Michigan "I would personally like to thank Robert Patterson of Patterson’s Flowers & Gifts, Big Rapids, MI for serving as the association's president for the past three years. He is to be commended for his hours of volunteer service and endless dedication to the MFA,” said Rodney P. Crittenden, MFA executive vice president. “I would also like to congratulate and welcome the newly elected and appointed board members and officers. Birmingham Seaholm 49, Auburn Hills Avondale 19: Seaholm’s Mackenzie Harbort led all scorers with 16 points. Seaholm improves to 9-2. Canton 31, Plymouth 19: Breanna Finn had 13 points in the win for Canton (9-2, 5-0 KLAA South). Also, Hannah Badger had nine points in the loss for Plymouth (3-8, 2-3 KLAA South). Dearborn Fordson 50, Redford Union 23: Redford Union was led by Haley Hebner’s 10 points. Detroit Community 49, Detroit University Prep Science and Math 17: Passion Hargrove recorded 16 points and eight assists in the victory for Community (2-3, 1-2 Charter). Detroit East English 47, Detroit Cody 21: East English was led Cierra Holmes’ 19 points and four assists. Diamond Massey also added eight points and 10 rebounds. East English improves to 7-5. Detroit Henry Ford 54, Detroit Old Redford 50: Gabrielle Ferrell had 18 points in the victory for Henry Ford. Chardae Green had 17 points and eight assists, Maria Knott had 11 points and 14 rebounds while India Allen had 10 points and eight rebounds in the loss for Old Redford (7-3).
