That spoke volumes about what type of competitor he is.
Carol Stream (Ill.) Glenbard North defensive back Tyrik Henderson is filled with talent. The sophomore has got some major upside in the secondary. Only a class of 2018 recruit, the 5-10, 160-pounder will be among the top defensive backs in the Midwest when the time comes for him to graduate. He's smooth, aggressive and super confident. Talk to him for a few minutes and you'll realize how smart he is, which is exactly what you want in a standout safety.
There are a lot of similarities between Lemont (Ill.) three-star tight end Logan Christopherson and 2015 Western Michigan commit Brett Borske. Like Borske, Christopherson has great size at 6-6, 225 pounds. He runs well, can jump with just about anyone and is a nightmare for any defensive back trying to cover him.
Carol Stream (Ill.) Glenbard North defensive back Greg Newsome was definitely in the discussion for the top defensive back of the night. The 6-1, 160-pounder is very gifted and is ahead of the curve in terms technically. One aspect of his game that really stood out was his athleticism. Whether he was running stride for stride with receivers, diving for balls or high-pointing the footballs, the class of 2018 showed an ability to make plays.
Malden (Ill.) Bureau Valley quarterback Drake Davis just gets the job done. He's quiet, just goes about his business and puts the ball exactly where it should be with his tremendous accuracy. He's in the discussion to be Boom Football's top quarterback this offseason and if that's the case, they'll be in good hands.
