FLEMINGSBURG -- Charlotte Clary McPheron, 64 of Flemingsburg, passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at Kenton Pointe in Maysville. She was a past resident of Somerset, and a current resident of Golden Living Nursing Home in Vanceburg. She was born Dec. 11, 1951, to the late Ralph and Mary Evelyn Clary, and also preceded in death by her husband, Marc Anthony “Tony” McPheron. She is survived by two brothers, Dale (Wilma) Clary and Dean (Robin) Clary; and a sister, Phyllis (Danny) Kearns. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Bethany Clary, Steve Clary, Michael Clary, Tina Williams, Robin Lewis, Eric Kearns, Whitney Clary and Sydney Clary. A member of Mount Carmel Christian Church, she had great faith in God. Although unable to attend church because of sickness, she always had a religious program going on her TV. One of her last requests was to make sure her Bible was laying close to her. During her life she made a career of being a hairdresser for 20 years. Jerald Thomas “Jerry” Rosser, 79, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at Fleming County Hospital. Jerry was born March 6, 1936, in Maysville, to the late William E. and Opal Moreland Rosser. Jerry was a well known businessman in Fleming County; as a young man he had worked for Clyde’s Super Value and Larry’s IGA in Maysville. After leaving Maysville he and his family owned and operated Jerry’s IGA in Flemingsburg for 45 years. One of his true passions was being a farmer, which he had been for most of his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Sergeant. He was a longtime member of the Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church where he had actively served in many capacities. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Armstrong Rosser; son, Michael (Kay) Rosser of Flemingsburg; grandchildren, Trey Rosser, Sydney (Cory) Moore, Tasha (Kevin) McCarty; great-grandchildren, Brecken and Bella; brother, Jimmy Rosser (Mary Sue) of Dover; sisters, Sue Faris of Ripley, Ohio, and Linda Rosser of Maysville; and several nieces and nephews. BROOKSVILLE Thelma Jo Carpenter Whitehead, 88, died Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at Maysville Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Shreveport, La., on Jan. 1, 1927, to the late Thomas and Maude Robinson Carpenter. Mrs. Whitehead was a member of the Eastern Star, Bracken County Homemakers, Book Club, Brooksville Christian Church, Director of the Son Rise Service, Choir Director of the Community Choir, and Choir Director of Farm Bureau Chorus. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles Whitehead. Mrs. Whitehead is survived by her daughter, Barbara Whitehead; son, Chuck (Jennie) Whitehead; grandsons, Daniel Forsythe and Dylan Whitehead; and three great-grandchildren, Lainie, Quinn, and Oliver Forsythe. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Whitehead; and her siblings, Fred Carpenter, Tom Ben Carpenter and June Harsin. Service will be 11 a.m., Thursday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home in Brooksville. Burial will be iin Bracken Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., on Wednesday at the funeral home.
