Christine Ivalene Flowers Poole - Daily Tribune News

Christine Ivalene Flowers Poole, 86, of Cartersville died on Monday June 17, 2019 at her residence. She was born on September 4, 1932 to the late Mr. William Wade Flowers and Mrs. Estelle Croy Flowers in Alpharetta, GA.Christine loved to sew, can foods, and be around her family and friends. She was a devoted and loving mother to her children. Christine is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, husband L.C. Poole, brother, LB Flowers, Wade Flowers, and Jackie Flowers, Sister Katherine Flowers McDaniel, and several grandchildren.Survivors include her Sister Carolyn Flowers Patterson, Brother Fred Flowers (Pam). Also included are her children, Lamar Poole (Gail); Wayne Poole (Lisa), Ronnie Poole (Martha), Connie Garrett (Gary), and Sherry Poole (Joey). She also leaves behind her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.A Celebration of Life Service for Christine will be conducted in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home Thursday, June 20, 2019 at eleven o’clock in the morning with Mr. Keith Guyton officiating.

Norma Lynn “Sissy” Greene Flowers, 48, of Cartersville, died on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Cartersville Medical Center. She was born in Cartersville on April 8, 1970, to the late William Greene and the late Patricia Lowry Greene. Norma was a caring and loving person who was known for her big heart. She was a very family oriented person, who had struggled with her health for the past several years but she fought hard for her children. Survivors include her husband, Richard David Flowers; her children, Cheyenne Clark, Lakota Flowers, and David Flowers, Jr.; her step-children, Regina Walker (Joseph Hamil), Carie Madison, and Jessica Flowers; her siblings, Missy McArthur (Kevin), Joe Greene (Jennifer Finnell), Jeff Greene, Robert Greene (Cindy), Michael Greene (Michele); her ten step-grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, Eric Greene, Chris Greene, Tyler McArthur, Austin McArthur, Emily McArthur, and Logan McArthur; her great-nephew, Camden Greene; and her great-niece, Haiyven Greene; and her aunt, Gail Midgett. Tammy Seitz, 47, Volunteered For Parents of Missing, Murdered Children

Editor’s note: the following obituary was submitted by Owen Funeral Home.---Tammy Sanford Seitz, age 47, died at her home in Cartersville on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016.Tammy was born on March 11, 1968, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, daughter of Doyle Sanford and Barbara Doughty Sanford.Tammy graduated from North Cobb High School in Acworth in 1986 and had a variety of jobs right after high school. In later years, she attended ITT Technical Institute where she studied Criminal Justice and was always making the Dean’s List. She graduated with honors in 2010. She had a private investigator license in both Georgia and Alabama. Her passion was not making money with investigations, but doing volunteer work for parents of missing and murdered children. She worked for years trying to help her dear friend, Sherry, find her son. Tammy was a kind and loving person who loved all people and never discriminated. She hated gossip and never wanted to hear anyone say an unkind word about another person. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 2 p.m. from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Minister Doyle Waters, Dr. Paul Mason, Dr. David Hunter, and Mr. Jim Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Garden, Active Pallbearers are Jarrod Floyd, Jonathan Carter, David Riddle, Coleman Ledford, Jack Ledford and Randy Ledford, Honorary Pallbearers are members of the Seekers Sunday School Class of Summerville First Baptist Church and members of the Chattooga County Senior Center.   Remembrances in the form of flowers or donations to the Summerville First Baptist Church or Gideons International are appreciated.
