Karen Hannis Meinhart Obituary - Mt. Holly Springs, PA | Cumberlink Sentinel - Legacy.com

Philadelphia; and five siblings: Jeanine Johnson of Emmaus, Sheila Mangano of Clifton, Virginia, Steven Hannis of Easton, Brian Hannis of Naples, Florida, and Kelly Cuetara of Downingtown. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Hannis, of Santa Rosa, California. She will be remembered as a selfless and caring mother, wife, and friend, as well as an unmatched home cook and Christmas cookie virtuoso, who filled the house with her wonderful singing. She was an aficionado of Broadway musicals and art museums; an avid reader of news and current events; and a dog lover, among the many passions that she passed to her loved ones. Karen will be laid to rest in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery following a service that will remain private due to COVID-19 restrictions. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to World Central Kitchen (wck.org), a non-profit organization she admired that believes in the power of food to unite people, just like she did. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs, PA. Please visit www.HollingerFuneralHome.com to offer condolences to the family. Struggling Naples florist brings smiles in tough times, giving away flowers - Naples Daily News

Laura Layden Naples Daily NewsPublished 9:43 AM EDT Apr 1, 2020Even as business dried up at their floral shop in Naples, Patrick and Mirela Beneš found a way to make others smile.Their family-owned business, Naples Picasso Flowers, has taken a huge hit from the coronavirus pandemic, which left the shop with bouquets of flowers it couldn't sell.Rather than just watch the flowers wither and die, the couple decided to start giving them away, handing them out on the streets and leaving them at doorsteps unannounced, with the spirit of love and hope of receiving donations to help keep their business going. In recent weeks, the couple delivered the flowers in one-of-a-kind water buckets with designs painted by their 14-year-old son Dario and 10-year-old daughter Letizia."I think everyone likes to have fresh flowers," Patrick said.Especially, he said, in uncertain times like these, with so many people cooped up in their homes, encouraged to "shelter in place.""We drove through streets in a radius of 2-3 mi...

Family seeks justice for man whose remains were found in Gardens

Goedeke said was "the rock of our family.""No mother could ask for a better son," said Goedeke, who lives in Naples.RELATED Nine years without Ray: Royal Palm family grieves son, asks whyCuevas, 47 when he was killed, lived in Coral Springs and owned Pyro Industries, which installed kitchen oven hoods at restaurants and other businesses, in Pompano Beach that he started in 2002. Police found traces of blood at his business, which also was known as Hood Mart, including on the foot pedals of welding machines. According to court documents, a crime-scene analyst determined that "the patterns are indicative of a blood cleanup."A crew of DOT workers clearing an area around the Beeline and Jog Road came upon the metal box that contained Cuevas' head and other body parts in April 2008, more than five months after police say he was abducted and murdered. It would be another year-plus before Cuevas was identified through dental records.Carlos "Charlie" Cuevas, Francisco's youngest child, was 8 years old when his father disappeared. Charlie said he and his sister, Samantha, were preparing to move back in with their father, who was divorced from their mother, before he went missing."I was told that no one knew where he was," said Cuevas, now 19 and a graduate of Park Vista High School in suburban Boynton Beach. "I was very upset and mad with him. I couldn't understand it."By the time his father's remains were identified, Charlie Cuevas said he "already kind of knew" what the outcome was going to be even though he was only 9."I was scared that's the way it was going to turn out," he says.Gustavo Enamorado-Dubon, a Honduran citizen who illegally had entered the U.S., became a suspect in July 2010 after the Spanish-language television program "Aqui y Ahora" on Univision aired a segment on Cuevas' murder.A Browa...
