ONGOING The Wild Eats at Bernice Nature Center Every Saturday, at 1 p.m., the staff at the Grand Lake State Park - Bernice Nature Center hosts a "Wild Eats" where park staff feed the park animals for the public. Page 2 of 8 - The event is designed to let participants learn how and what food animals eat, along with why a proper diet is required for all living things. The center is located at 54101 Highway 85A, Bernice. Senior Citizen Dance A senior citizen dance takes place at 6:30 p.m. every Saturday, at the Grove Senior Center, 145 East O'Daniel Parkway in Grove. The event is free, snacks are provided by attendees. Donations will be accepted to defray the costs of coffee and tea. The event will include a full breakfast and fellowship at 9 a.m., with a sermon at 10 a.m. The gathering is free and open to the public. FRI. 01.29 to 01.31 Feline adoption special at Second Chance During the month of January, volunteers at the Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake shelter in Grove will host an adoption fee special for kittens and cats. For $10 for adult cats and $25 for kittens, interested persons may adopt a feline that has been spayed/neutered, health checked, vaccinated and microchipped. FRI. 01.29 Takedown Club Chili Supper Members of the Grove Takedown Club will host the Sixth Annual Chili Supper and Pie Auction at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 29, at the Grove Community Center. Tickets are $5 a person and may be purchased in advance or at the door. The Grove Takedown Club is Grove's youth wrestling program. A non-profit organization, it provides a wrestling program for students 4 to 14 years of age. Funds raised during the dinner will be used to purchase equipment for the program.
