Parker, who frequents the Taco Bell in Carbondale, Ill., every Tuesday and Friday, commemorated the milestone in the same fast-food restaurant, which was decorated with flowers, balloons and a message on the marquee sign.
"I feel alright. I feel good at 101, I guess," Parker told KFVS-TV, adding that she and her friends celebrate every birthday at the Taco Bell.

Jacksonville, posted a time of 15 minutes, 13 seconds to beat the sectional field at Decatur. Carbondale senior Atlantis Green was runner-up, 15 seconds back of Flowers in 25:28.
Marion won the team title with 97 points and will be joined at the Class 2A state meet next Saturday at Detweiller Park in Peoria by MacArthur Sectional qualifiers Danville (105), Chatham Glenwood (112), Springfield (132) and Charleston (187). Jersey placed 13th in the 18-team field with 311 points. Civic Memorial was 17th with 409 points.
Edwardsville Class 3A Sectional – The host Tigers earned their 28th state appearance with a third-place finish at SIUE. Minooka won the sectional with 89 points, with O’Fallon (96), Edwardsville (103), Lincoln-Way East (111) and Yorkville (129) also earning state trips.
Minooka senior Soren Knudsen won the race in 15:48. Edwardsville was led by junior Franky Romano’s fourth-place run in 16:13. Also scoring for the Tigers were sophomore Roland Prenzler (15th in 16:36), freshman Jack Pifer (19th in 16:47), sophomore Dan Powell (24rd in 16:53) and sophomore Max Hartmann (45th in 17:15).
Alton’s top finisher was senior Evan Rathgeb, who’s time of 17:10 placed him in 40th and fell short of qualifying for state.
Metro East Lutheran Class 1A Sectional – Before the Class 3A runners took over the course at SIUE, a Class 1A field led by Freeburg competed for state trips to Peoria.

Samantha Hengehold was the only other local athlete placing in the top 10. Hengehold was eighth overall.
Mascoutah (116 points), Litchfield (127) and Carbondale (142) rounded out the top five teams.
Flowers continues to bloom
Two-time Class 2A all-state runner Ben Flowers of Jerseyville continued his domination of local competition by winning the boys championship. Considered one of the favorites to win the state title in a little over six weeks in Peoria, Flowers finished the 5K course in just over 16 minutes 24 seconds to defeat Kevin Koester of Hillsboro by a full 13 seconds.
Frankie Romano of Edwardsville and Jake Schwartz of Waterloo rounded out the top four runners while Roland Prenzler of Edwardsville placed sixth and Ethan Price of Mascoutah placed ninth. Price is the reigning Belleville News-Democrat Class 2A Runner of the Year.
Edwardsville, which had five runners in the top 15, finished with 51 points. Hillsboro (100), Mascoutah (174), Alton (187) and Champaign Central (194) rounded out the top five teams.

Doug married Dede Cogswell February 1969 in Denver. They moved to Glenwood Springs & then to Carbondale.
Doug is survived by his wife Dede and his four children: Staci, Amy, Kristen and Adam; five granddaughters; and one great-grandson. He is also survived by his mother Ethel Miller (91) of Grand Junction and his sisters Susan Carner of Tucson, Az., & Tammi Gardner of Natchez, Ms. Doug is preceded in death by his father, Harold Miller.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Huntsmancancer.org or Huntsman Cancer Foundation at 500 Huntsman Way Salt Lake City, Ut 84108.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016, at 10:00 am at Farnum Holt Mortuary 405 W. 7th St., Glenwood Springs, Co 81601.
A private burial will be held at a later date.

Lucas C. Pollits, 79, of Carbondale, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, January 20, 2016 at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center, Carbondale.
His wife of 57 years is the former Joann Wallace.
Born September 22, 1936 in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Joseph, Sr. and Mary Brescia Pollits.
Lukie was a 1954 graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. From 1955 to 1965 he operated a well known main street restaurant, Luke's Luncheonette.
He later became an insurance agent for the Prudential Insurance Company for over 30 years. Lukie served with 109th Infantry Division of Pennsylvania Army National Guard where he received the Marksman Badge.
He was a devoted member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale where he spent countless hours preparing food for the annual church feast and spaghetti supper.
Lukie was the last surviving charter member of the Carbondale Chapter of UNICO and under his leadership as chapter president from 1964-1965 the chapter opened up dona... (Carbondale News)
