Storied Houston Hotel Adds its Own Showcase Flower Shop — Inside The Houstonian's New Floral Studio Wonderland - PaperCity Magazine
We can’t help be recall the floral extravaganzas of the Four Seasons George V in Paris, the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills and London’s Claridge’s where renowned floral design house McQueens has an on-site boutique. Flowers for an outdoor wedding at The Houstonian are created by Sage ‘n’ Bloom at The Houstonian. (Courtesy photo)Sage ‘n’ Bloom quietly opened in May and has provided flowers for several weddings. But with the COVID-19 situation, Houstonian waited until this past week to launch its official grand opening. With that, glorious bouquets were sent across Houston to a handful of influencers. The one that arrived at my home was delicious in its design reminiscent of an English Garden with roses, ranunculus, Canterbury bells, delphiniums and more. With blossoms sourced from around the world and from local merchants, the menu of possibilities ranges from show-stopping grand arrangements to mini floral confections perfect for a coffee table or accent piece. In addition to providing floral arrangements for a variety of occasions and customers, Sage ‘n’ Bloom offers floral design workshops where guests work along side Du for an afternoon of instruction in the flower-decked studio.Du’s background is rooted in art and design. She has worked with celebrity clientele, corporate gatherings and destination events.Sage ‘n’ Bloom provides free delivery within three miles of The Houstonian with purchases of more than $150. Garden a pleasant surprise in Beverly Hills' back yard - Hometown Life
Francoise Wilhelm.“It is magnificent. It is like living in a tree house. Who would think you are in the heart of Beverly Hills?” says Toni Grinnan. The deck is built around a huge elm tree, one of the few elms which survived Dutch Elm disease.Sounds of birds singing enhanced the experience. Eileen Hitz discovered the sound of a cardinal singing on her cell phone. Now she plays the sound while on her deck and cardinals begin arriving and answering the call. Many animals call the area home. “We have an overweight woodchuck who burrows under the deck, numerous chipmunks, deer, hawks and a coyote,” explains Eileen Hitz. There is a Nature Trail Center sign on steps beside the deck. It marks the beginning of a 500-foot journey down steps and over boardwalks constructed by Neil Hitz which lead through the woods to the Rouge River. There is a deck on the side of the river. “I ought to be able to come here, sit down and relax, but I always look around and see things needing attention,” he says somewhat sadly. The river is shallow there as it meanders toward other small tributaries. Some neighbors enjoy kayaking.Near the deck is a tree house which Hitz built when his sons were young. They enjoyed camping there. One of the garden club members, Pam Signorelli, was especially interested in a small shrub called a button bush adjacent to the deck. This plant is native to Michigan. The sphere-like flowers have nectar which attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. The river is shallow. “It is like being Up North. The river is wide. The shore birds can stand in the water,” notes Laura Miller.Across the river is an area called Hidden Rivers, which is a nature preserve. It has an interesting history, remaining undeveloped and having plant specimens typical of 200 years ago.In 1979 Hitz and 28 neighbors and other interested parties contributed over $100,000 to the Village of Beverly Hills to purchase this 14-acre property to keep it in its natural state with no possibility of future development. In a letter to all of the donors dated 1980, the village officers stated: “We believe that leaving this property in its natural state, with no future possibility of undesirable development, is a definite asset to Beverly Hills. The interest and initiative you all have shown in your community is ... Dec 18, 2019

Yolanda Hadid Threw Her Mom a Beautiful Al Fresco Birthday Dinner at Her Pennsylvania Farm - Bravo
Pennsylvania farm, where her family loves to come to escape the bustle of their famous lives.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum welcomed home her children, Anwar, Bella, and Gigi Hadid, to celebrate their Oma (which means "grandma" in German), setting a long rustic outdoor wooden table with pretty flowers in pots, chic place settings with pink accents, and a sweet flower cake that Gigi made herself and topped with impossibly tall candles.
Yolanda's lovely horses came to give Oma some birthday love, but it looks like her adorably shaggy Scottish highland cattle stayed on their part of the farm.
Yolanda's mini horses Mamma and Muku also made a cameo to wish Oma well on her day (and nuzzle with Gigi).
With this farm, Yolanda has built a wonderful home for herself that's also a sanctuary for her children amidst their busy modeling careers that constantly take them around the world, a peaceful retreat from their crazy working lives.

The West Coast Version of the Cherry Blossom Has Just Started Blooming in California - HouseBeautiful.com
June has arrived, and the purple and blue trumpet-shaped flowers have begun to burst with their summertime colors from Pasadena to Santa Ana, Beverly Hills, and Long Beach. Like cherry blossoms, jacaranda trees can be just a bit messy—their flowers often fall to the ground and cover the sidewalks and streets below, just like the classic pink bloom of cherry trees. If you're thinking of planting your own jacaranda trees, fair warning: They only thrive in southern states, like the lower parts of California, Florida, and parts of Texas. They need full sun to grow, and can sprout over 60 feet tall. Not in a southern state? Don't worry—you still have time to head to California and catch the jacaranda trees that are in bloom for a few more months.

Bag designer Edie Parker launches Flower, a cannabis line. - Fast Company
They’re also elevating the design: Cannabis brand Beboe creates $65 half-ounce vape pens that contain cannabis oil and the Beverly Hills Cannabis Club sells cannabis strains wrapped in gold foil for $700 per ounce. Other brands like Roam Escapes, Sunday Goods, and Besito focus on the wellness benefits of cannabis to relieve pain, increase focus, or increase sex drive.[Photo: courtesy Edie Parker]Heyman brings her own take to cannabis, one that is shaped from her years in the fashion industry. She’s best known for creating acrylic clutches and handbags that cost between $800 and $1,800, and are all the rage with celebrities, who regularly carry them on the red carpet. Her bags are colorful and fun, often adorned with marble patterns, glitter, or fruit motifs. She brings the same ebullience to her Flower line. “Yes, cannabis holds plenty of medicinal properties,” says Heyman. “But the world feels kind of dark right now, and I really want to just have a good time. My brand is about entertaining and having fun.”Much like her handbag collection...
