In fact, so many Americans send flowers to Mom, the May holiday is a weeklong occasion, keeping florists busy filling and delivering orders.Beth Parker, the owner of Earle’s Loveland Flowers and Gifts, took time out of her busy schedule this past week to answer a few questions about herself and the businesses, where she is also is head designer. 1. Who is/was Earle? The Earle family started the business over 60 years ago. I purchased it from them on Jan. 25, 1993, and have since made it a brand of my own. 2. How did you get started in the floral business, and why did you stick with it? Steve Hadden, who previously owned Hadden’s Flower Gallery in Old Town Fort Collins, and my mother encouraged me to start designing and felt like I had a great talent for it. I enjoy what I do and have a passion for it. 3. What kind of training, skill and knowledge is needed to create floral arrangements? Knowledge of plants and flowers and when they are in season, artistic talent with colors, lines and capturing the eye. I also have taken a lot of master design classes from designers all over the world. 4. What’s the busiest day and the busiest season for flower delivery?
