Expect breezy weather through Friday in Phoenix area

Breezes were expected to gust up to 15 to 20 mph in the Phoenix area Thursday and Friday, and sunny skies and highs in the mid- to upper 90s were expected to continue through at least Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
The easterly breezes were the result of high pressure developing over the Rockies, according to James Sawtelle, National Weather Service meteorologist.

Sunny skies were expected through Saturday, with high temperatures expected to reach 95 Thursday with a low Thursday night of 70, Sawtelle said.
Friday's forecast calls for a high of 97 and a low of 70, and Saturday's forecast calls for a high of 95 and a low of 68, Sawtelle said.
